A month long at-home belly dance practice building challenge

DAILY FUN!

What you get during this challenge:

Every other day for the month of January (1st-31st) you will receive a recorded belly dance special topic video (that ranges from 10-15 minutes in length - or more!).

On non-video days you will receive a spread of Melina’s Belly Dance Choreography Cards and a song to connect them to in a personal mini choreography!

Prior to the challenge start date, students will also receive a PDF calendar to print-out with the belly dance special topic mini-class titles so you can cross them off as we go!

This asynchronous at-home belly dance practice challenge is designed to help you discover fun, simple and easy ways to more dance and movement to your at-home routine. Develop methods to practice both technique and personal flow through Melina’s dance tips and mini-classes outside of class time!

Videos/ Workout Topics may include:

Melina’s Belly Dance Warm Up, Isolations, Belly Dance Core, Graceful Arm Pathways, Footwork Practice through Mini Combos, Prop Work, Traveling Steps, Mini Belly Dance Choreography, Sultry Flow… and MORE!

By the end of this challenge not only will you have succeeded in a month of consistent dance practice at-home, but you’ll have 16 video recordings, each between 10-15 minute long workouts (over 2 hours of content!) and 15 choreography card sequences to develop and to return to for a variety of -practice options.

What you will/may need for this challenge:

  • Wifi to access our recorded videos (that you’ll get to keep!)

  • Some space to dance

  • You do NOT need Melina’s Belly Dance Choreography Card Deck to participate in this challenge - but having the physical deck can be a great supplement as you can manipulate the cards and order of sequences yourself! At the end of the challenge one winner (randomly selected from registrants who has completed the challenge and shared a video of their FAVORITE choreography card sequence with us) will win a belly dance on-demand course of their choosing!
